Kanban Adds Flatbed Truck to its Local Fleet to Haul Oversized Cargo

Written by Harold Hobgood | Jun 8, 2017

Meet Henry, Kanban’s new 48-foot flatbed truck and trailer combo who’s ready to take you on exciting new adventures!

Well, okay, we haven’t named the truck (yet?), and it probably won’t star in a children’s adventure show, but we are pretty giddy about our new flat-bed.

Our fleet isn’t large, but I guess you could say this new purchase makes us a flatbed carrier.

The 48’-long flatbed trailer can handle just about anything that doesn’t work for a regular 53’ van.  Some of the oversized items that we currently haul include building materials and logging mats – perfect items for our (not so) shiny new toy.

The flatbed comes in handy at our Rocky Mount, NC transloading yard, adjacent to our warehouse, where we can unload center-beam rail cars for lumber, metal piping and other industrial and building materials. These items can be loaded directly onto the flatbed for transport.

So, if you’ve got oversized items that need to be moved within Eastern North Carolina, know that you’ve got a small but willing North Carolina flatbed carrier to handle them right here in Rocky Mount.
