Kanban Logistics has recently added 8 trailers to its fleet, bringing its total number of trailers to 25. While Kanban’s primary service is warehousing and distribution, this trailer acquisition demonstrates the growth of the company’s logistics transportation services in Eastern North Carolina.
Final mile delivery
For its warehousing customers, Kanban performs final delivery services throughout Eastern North Carolina. As a longstanding 3PL in the region, Kanban is familiar with the requirements of area retailers and can ensure compliance with those requirements when distributing your products to DCs. Final mile deliveries use both dry van and refrigerated trailers to keep your temperature-sensitive products in spec throughout the supply chain journey.
Transload services
Kanban’s Rocky Mount, NC warehousing campus includes rail siding and a transload yard. The transload yard can receive center-beam rail cars and unload products for warehousing at the site, or load products onto trailers for final distribution. Products that commonly arrive on center-beam railcars include lumber, metal piping, logging mats, and other industrial and building materials.
Drayage
For imports arriving at the Port of Virginia or the Port of Wilmington, Kanban can perform drayage and container stripping services. This includes receiving your container, unloading it, palletizing products and preparing them for storage and/or distribution, and returning the empty container to the port. Kanban can typically unload containers within 2 hours of arrival.
National transportation services
Kanban also partners with national providers of logistics transportation services to deliver products nationwide. Capabilities include truckload and less-than-truckload (LTL) services, both ambient and refrigerated.
If you’re distributing products into or out of North Carolina and are interested in 3PL logistics services to support your supply chain, let Kanban show you the ropes. Kanban has over 1 million square feet of prime warehousing space in Eastern North Carolina which can be integrated with the transportation services listed above. We also have ‘preferred status’ with retailers in the area, which allows us to drop trailers at DC facilities. To learn more about our North Carolina logistics capabilities, contact us today.
